The Ravenous Beast

Today we read a story called 'The Ravenous Beast' - click on the you tube clip below to watch the story that we read. Then we got into groups of 2 or 3 and learnt about the art technique of collage. We used our new knowledge to work together in our groups to collage one of the characters from the story.  

Last day of school

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our last day of term 1 :) and it is a mufti day so bring along a gold coin donation. Also it is room 2's teddy bears picnic so bring your teddy (or soft toy) and a plate of food to share with the class. See you all tomorrow!

Maths - Measurement

For maths the last two weeks we have been looking at measurement. Today we did a bus stop activity where the children moved around the different stations measuring objects using non standard measurements. We used small cubes, big cubes, counters and linking chains.

 

Reading

Now that it is getting colder not all the children are going swimming so the non swimmers from room 2 and 5 got together and did some buddy reading.
